INFORMATION ON THE TYPES OF OILS WE USE

Almond Oil

Almond oil is a light, non-greasy oil easily absorbed into the skin. It has excellent emollient properties, enabling the skin to balance water and moisture loss, which helps to keep the skin nicely moisturised, supple and smooth.

Almond Oil, Sweet

Almond oil is a light, non-greasy oil, which absorbs easily into the skin. It has excellent emollient properties, enabling the skin to balance water and moisture loss and helps to keep the skin deeply moisturised. Promotes smooth, soft skin.

Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is a heavy, rich, moisturising green oil. It is high in vitamins A, D & E, and absorbs easily into the skin shortly after application. Because it has high levels of these vitamins, it is excellent for the rejuvenating and regenerating of sun-damaged skin, ageing skin, dehydrated and undernourished skin, and skin complaints such as eczema and psoriasis.

It is also high in sterolins, which are reputed to, help heal. It is the sterolins (also called) in the oil that helps to and imparts a superior effect.

Castor Oil

Castor oil contains undecylenic acid which, due to its germicidal and disinfectant properties, is useful in treating skin diseases and skin ulcers, particularly those which are caused due to bacterial or fungal infections. The germicidal, insecticidal and fungicidal properties of ricin and ricinoleic acid present in castor oil protect the scalp and hair from microbial and fungal infections, the two prime causes for hair loss. In addition, the fatty acids in it nourish hair and prevent the scalp from drying by retaining moisture.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is an excellent and effective moisturizer on all types of skins including dry skin. Coconut oil has similar benefits to mineral oil, but unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin with the application of coconut oil. Coconut oil therefore is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which normally become prominent with age. It also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin complaints. It helps in preventing premature ageing and degenerative diseases due to its antioxidant properties. It contains vitamin E, and K, and iron.

For hair care, coconut oil offers many benefits. It is highly nourishing and provides the needed nutrients to condition and restore damaged hair. Excellent for those with curly coils, and for promoting healthy strong hair.
